i've also missed a lot of shows i would have liked to see! there are so many, too many awesome bands coming through the bay area all the time. hard to keep up!
pictured above are the coffee table and commercial restroom sign i collaged & painted by hand, with juxtapose magazine pictures from a 2009 edition that i love.
much of my time is still going towards setting up the live/work space we have here in the marina :) it's changed so much since we first moved in.... won and i repainted all of the walls in the commercial space, and both bathrooms. we finally have a kitchen -- complete with sink, fridge, stove, and counter tops. ryan has a real wall and door separating his room from the commercial space, for his music studio/recording area and bedroom. the studio art-work space area is coming along, and we've been putting it together with recycled/found materials/furniture that we've found along the streets of sf. i've also finally begun hanging art on the walls for our first official soft opening at the end of this month.... it's going to be grand!
dreams really do come true. i'm living proof.
i've also been working on some new card designs for tinyprints.com -- coming up next will be dorey kronick birthday cards, and oddly enough, religious cards! (i'm not much of a religious person, but they asked me if i wanted to participate in the new religiously-affiliated card series, and i accepted because i have a lot of friends and family who are religious and would appreciate them :) since i'm signed onto a new contract with them, since my birthday of this year, all upcoming cards that i design for them will have my very own dorey kronick logo on the backs of them! woo!
alright, enough blabbing... i just wanted to provide a new post because i haven't said much of anything on here the entire month! more news to come and photos from our event at the end of the month, when everything in the live/work space is looking as good as gold!
